delivers a sense of confidence in her music with her dynamic personality and artistry. Her musical journey began with formal training at the Preparatory Division of the Peabody Institute. She later earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, distinguishing herself as an accomplished performer and competitor.
During her time at the Conservatory, Ms. An participated in numerous competitions and was a sought-after performer at prominent events. In 2012, she made her orchestral debut with the Maryland Orchestra after winning the Maryland Piano Concerto Competition, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Since her debut, Ms. An has graced renowned stages as a soloist and chamber musician, including performances at the Shapiro Music Room at Strathmore, Steinway Boutique Hall in Beijing, the Katzen Arts Center at American University, the Horowitz Center, Friedberg Hall in Baltimore, The Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall.
In addition to her successful performance career, Ms. An is a certified music therapist. She pursued professional studies in music therapy at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, equipping herself to use music as a transformative tool for healing and growth. She works with children and adults across diverse needs, fostering positive change and personal development through meaningful musical engagement.
Currently, Ms. An serves as a clinical therapist at StoneSprings Hospital in Dulles, VA, where she integrates her therapeutic and musical expertise. She also remains an active performer, appearing regularly at concerts and events across the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.
